Abstracts must be prepared in English. Please ensure that your abstract does not contain spelling, grammatical or scientific errors, as this can be grounds for rejection. In case of acceptance, changes in the abstract title, text or authorship won’t be allowed. Submission is extended until September 30, 2021 (originally September 15).
After review by the scientific committee, the presenting author will be notified via e-mail about: (a) the acceptance or rejection of the abstract, (b) the decided session and format of the presentation (oral or poster), and (c) in case the scientific committee indicates that the work needs corrections, the authors will have a single opportunity to send a new version of the abstract according to the suggestions and corrections of the scientific committee. Notification will be set until October 15, 2021.

Selected publications will be considered for the Special Issue “Fire in the Earth System: Humans and Nature” in LAND (MDPI), which is guest edited by Prof. Dr. Artemi Cerdà and Dr. Ioannis N. Daliakopoulos.

Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All papers will be peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Land is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
