Biography

I am professor of the Department of Arts and Sciences of Territory (former Department of Geography) of Extremadura University since 2011. I have teached subject (Degree in Geography) such as “Physical Degradation Processes on Terrestrial Ecosystems” and “Landscape, Society and Territory” in which soil description and classification is a very important topic.

I belong to the GeoEnvironmental Research Group (www.grupogiga.es) of Extremadura University since 2007. My research activities have been mainly focused on soil quality and land degradation assessment in traditional rangeland farms (dehesas). I am also an active collaborator with other soil scientists belonging to the Soil Erosion and Degradation Research Group (SEDER).
