Biography
Dr. Ben Wu is a Professor of Ecology and Conservation Biology and R.H. Cintron University Professor for Teaching Excellence at Texas A&M University. His lab works on spatial ecology and pyric herbivory in savanna landscapes, and on associated education programmes focused on educator development and educational innovation. Other recent projects include the landscape biogeochemistry of savanna systems, the ecology of terracette landscapes, and authentic scientific inquiry and its effects on student learning. He teaches a large-enrollment introductory ecology course and a graduate course on landscape analysis, and is actively engaged in faculty development activities.
